Mom was moved to a new room in the middle of last week. Her new room number is 628. Her recovery is coming right along. She has been up sitting in her chair and over the last several days has started walking up and down the halls. This is quite an achievement and we are very proud of her. Mom's case worker mentioned there may be a possibility of her needing skilled nursing care for a week or so before going home. Mom says she doesn't want to go to a damn nursing home and she is going to do everything she can to get home.
We are all on her side and doing what we can to help her along.

We went up yesterday, she had been up walking four times, one of those times was a complete lap of the 6th floor. She was perky and ornery, as only Val can be. She told us she would be talking to the social worker today about going into the Manor in Malvern.
